Maybe because they figure that, even if they give you something, you’ll just trash-talk them here and sell it on Mercari anyway?
People who give gifts generally enjoy doing it or don’t find it a burden, while those who don’t are simply not good at giving gifts.
If you keep asking someone like that, they’ll only feel pressured, and you’ll probably end up receiving something you’d want to sell on Mercari anyway.
If you build a good relationship with your papa (a male supporter), the ones who like giving gifts will give you something.

☆ Mac, I’d be happy to receive flowers.
You usually only get bouquets at things like recitals or award ceremonies, after all.
Lately, it seems like people are going for flashy gifts, like floating balloons ♡̢
They’re bobbing around in the car on the way home (笑)
I’d be happy to receive anything, whether it’s sweets or a bouquet.

I did give my wife presents.
But I was still young back then, so they were always inexpensive.
I guess that wasn’t the answer you were hoping for.

I don’t plan on bringing gifts to sex workers. But if I find something I think my dating partner would be happy to receive, I sometimes buy it and bring it along.
I think that’s what it comes down to.

My papa gives his daughter, who’s still a student, designer-brand gifts for her birthday and Christmas. He gives me gifts at the same time, too. I wonder if he does the same for his wife. He doesn’t like talking much about her, so I don’t ask.
As for why some papas don’t give gifts, I imagine the reasons include: “It’s hard to guess exactly what a papa-katsu girl wants” (and if you give her something she doesn’t need, she might just list it on Mercari), “I don’t want to be taken advantage of,” or “I’m already giving you enough allowance as it is.”
