Do you truly understand what men who qualify to join the new club—and what motivates them—actually want? On the surface, they say all sorts of plausible things, but when you get right down to it, they simply want to “sleep with celebrities”—or, more precisely, “have sex with celebrities who rank higher than the ones they already have.” Can you actually provide those “higher-ranking celebrities”?
💬 Answer from 前澤(スタッフ):
Maezawa here with an answer.
I’m sure some people are like that, but others aren’t.
If you’re introducing a high-profile celebrity, wouldn’t ¥100,000 be far too little?
In that case, I imagine the referral fee would need to be dozens of times higher, so I feel like we may be talking about completely different circles.

Wasn’t making the new branch an invite-only service an option? If the service is expected to have fewer than 100 members, there’s no real benefit to making it public. Now that it’s been made public, you can pretty much imagine the caliber of women who will join. I think it’ll be difficult for it to surpass the established clubs that arrange discreet introductions.
💬 Answer from 間宮(銀座スタッフ):
I’m Mamiya, and I’ve actually interviewed at an existing private club.
After I joined, they gave me a brief explanation and even showed me how to do my eyebrows. Looking back, it was such an intimidating interview that it felt like they were practically asking, “So, can you start doing this from now on?”
I personally feel that if a club is completely private, the women it attracts may end up being more like sex workers—or, unless they have some very special behind-the-scene…

When I think about what the new service offers, it currently seems like nothing more than a separate organization providing additional concierge services for the more affluent members among the Black-tier members. I’d be pretty annoyed if I accidentally ended up being charged another ¥100,000 a month for that… (I’m deliberately not phrasing this as a question.)
💬 Answer from 木田(社長):
Kida, the representative, will answer as well.
You’re absolutely right.
But please don’t worry.
Everything comes down to supply and demand. If no customers sign up at ¥100,000 a month, the price will gradually come down.
On the other hand, if there’s demand and we’re able to offer a service that meets it, we could reach the limit of 30 members and stop accepting new applications.
¥100,000 a month is insanely expensive, isn’t it?
And there are other costs on top of tha…

💬 Answer from 前澤(スタッフ):
Maezawa here as well.
On the homepage, when you upload a selfie, a “Private Photo” banner appears and your profile is moved to the very front.
The same applies when you update your comment for women: a “New Comment” banner appears and your profile is moved to the front.
Newly registered members also receive a “New Registration” banner.

How can I find out what rank a woman is? Also, what determines categories like platinum and black? Since I’m a woman myself, I’m curious about what rank I’m in and how I can move up.
💬 Answer from 前澤(スタッフ):
Maezawa here. Let me answer.
Women aren’t told which rank they’ve been assigned.
As for why, Kida previously answered this in the Q&A section. To quote him:
“By ‘grade,’ you mean the classes for female members:
Standard
Gold
Platinum
Black
There was a period when we told women their grades after the club first launched.
As a result, it caused nothing but problems for the men, the women, and the club.

Is the new service about “good women over beautiful women”? I can’t help thinking that the “good woman” wealthy men have in mind isn’t “good woman > beautiful woman,” but rather “good woman = beauty × good qualities.” Besides, a “good woman” is something a man creates through his own ability—not something he buys. I wonder what Mamiya-san thinks about that?
💬 Answer from 木田(社長):
Our representative, Kida, will answer as well.
Mamiya’s writing is so sharp and unconventional that even I sometimes can’t keep up.
“An ideal woman = a beautiful woman × an ideal woman.” And in the first place, an “ideal woman” is something a man creates through his own abilities—not something he buys.

It’s a new club, but if the introduction fee is only ¥100,000, how is that any different from the current Universe Club? Unless you can introduce women in the “¥200,000 and up” range, won’t it fail to become a business for affluent clients?
💬 Answer from 前澤(スタッフ):
Maezawa here.
At Universe, the introduction fee isn’t ¥100,000 across the board—it ranges from ¥20,000 to ¥100,000. When you look at it that way, I think there is a difference.
Of course, if you’ve only ever made offers to women with a ¥100,000 introduction fee through Universe, you may feel there’s no difference. But I think those people are very much in the minority.

For a new club, can you really attract high-quality women? Where do you find them? Do the staff even have the eye for talent? 💬 Answer from 間宮(銀座スタッフ):
Let me answer—this is Mamiya, who hasn’t accomplished anything yet.
It would be impossible to gather high-quality women. We don’t even know where to find them, and our staff certainly don’t have the eye for talent needed to identify them. Even if we did manage to gather them, I think our pool would quickly run dry.
That’s exactly why I think it’s worth doing.

Regarding the new service, if “there’s no charge unless a date is arranged after the first meeting,” is it fair to understand that its core value is essentially allowing you to pay ¥100,000 a month for the right to meet and interview women from the Black to Secret tiers (i.e., the right to arrange introductions)? If so, the pricing seems reasonable to me.
💬 Answer from 前澤(スタッフ):
Maezawa here.
That’s exactly right: no fee is charged if a first meeting doesn’t lead to an actual date.
You can also think of it as paying ¥100,000 a month for the right to meet women in the Black to Secret tiers.
That said, we understand that men are taking time out of their busy schedules to come meet them, so we want to introduce women who are likely to proceed directly to a date.

I’m sorry if this sounds like I’m asking whether people with an annual income of ¥40 million even exist, but before joining Universe, I had absolutely no connection with anyone like that.
Even among current members, there really aren’t that many people who report earning over ¥40 million a year. That’s probably why I imagine they thought people outside Universe’s usual clientele might be able to use the service.

Universe Club is a dating club.
That’s why going straight to a hotel or someone’s home after meeting is prohibited. It isn’t an escort service.
The rule that the first date must start with a meal is in place for that reason.

Everyone enjoys these relationships differently, so I don’t think there’s one right way to go about it.
Why not simply enjoy the date for what it is? If you can have a genuinely enjoyable time together without anything more than the date itself, then she must be an exceptional woman.

A) I think deciding the offer fee through an auction is a really good idea. In fact, I’ve been wondering whether a system like that could be created myself.
