Could someone explain the changes to the terms? Does being blacklisted mean my personal information will be shared with other organizations?

Maezawa from the President’s Office here. For example, if you end up on a blacklist for things like credit cards, it affects your ability to get credit cards from other companies too, right? That’s because the blacklist is maintained in a shared database across different companies. In the same way, it would be a problem if people thought, “Even if I do something bad at Universe and get forcibly banned, there are other dating clubs I can join.” So why not create a shared blacklist among dating clubs? I believe that’s the idea behind first sharing blacklist information with the Dating Club Association. That way, someone who has done something bad at another dating club wouldn’t be able to join Universe either, and someone who caused trouble at Universe wouldn’t be able to join other dating clubs. It would be great if we could create a system like that. It may be inconvenient for people who do bad things, but we want those people to leave, so naturally our interests conflict here. > I want to buy the Nagoya branch together with Kazu(笑) Since we’re talking about franchising to employees, you’ll first need to become a Universe employee and work eight hours a day. (笑) Then, after working for about five years, we might start talking about franchising.

I’m Fuu, a column writer. That’s how I interpret the wording of the revised terms, too. If the questioner is concerned and wants a more definite answer, why not email the club directly? Personally, I support the change. Unlike app- or web-based papa-katsu (compensated dating in Japan), I worry that Universe will lose women’s support if the papas aren’t high-quality gentlemen. If the quality is the same, people will naturally move to the more convenient online options. I hope the club uses its system to keep out papas who behave poorly or don’t treat women with respect, creating a club where true gentlemen remain—and, as a result, attracting more quality women.

I’m Dai, a male member. You just need to avoid doing anything that could get you put on the blacklist.

I’m Kazu, a male member. https://universe-club.jp/information/70226/ I understand this matter to mean exactly that, in a nutshell. I believe this relates to the part about “sharing a customer blacklist” in this article: https://universe-club.jp/staffblog/63607/ Kida wrote: “After a relationship begins, the club will no longer be completely hands-off. Instead, members’ fees will rise or fall based on a post-relationship evaluation system. If someone engages in deceptive behavior during the relationship, it will be reported as a violation and a warning will be issued, with the incident reflected in their score. The branches will become employee-owned franchises, and other clubs and websites will also be able to participate, allowing around 60 organizations (branches) to use the same platform and share a customer blacklist. (Similar to what IBJ and marriage agency associations do.) This is what I’m imagining five years from now.” I believe this is referring to the part where Kida wrote, “We will share a customer blacklist.”
