If you call it “wrong,” then broadly speaking, I suppose it is. However, the staff put a lot of thought into how they assign classes.
For example, when a woman makes an exceptionally good impression during her interview, some staff members will place her directly in a higher class.
Others may put her in a lower class, even though they know she’ll receive a flood of offers.
It may not be ideal from the company’s perspective, but it’s part of Universe’s unique culture, and it doesn’t necessarily cause any particular problems.
As for why they would place her in a lower class, I think it’s because the staff member wants to give that woman more options.
That’s how “Lucky Platinum” and “Lucky Gold” can happen.
Of course, there are also cases where the staff genuinely fail to recognize her potential. In those situations, I suspect the staff member’s personal preferences may have played a role.

I wouldn’t say they got it wrong. It’s probably more that there were more offers than the staff had anticipated.
I recently registered with another dating club and learned that nearly every woman registered with both clubs had been assigned the same class at Universe and at the other club. I was impressed by how consistent they were.
Apparently, Universe Club’s selection criterion is whether a woman seems likely to receive offers. So if around half of the women go six months without an offer, it seems even determining whether someone will receive offers in the first place is quite difficult.
I imagine predicting whether a woman will get offers—and how many—is extremely challenging.
