In a situation like this, would we usually have tea, or talk in the car (perhaps while going for a drive) and then go straight to a hotel?

Driving over and heading straight to a hotel is against the rules. Even if he’s a Type D, it’s still not allowed.
There used to be a Type E that was more forward than Type D—it’s different from the current Type E. Some people misunderstood that and went straight to a hotel, so perhaps that option was discontinued.
So, there is a chance this man may try to go straight to a hotel. You should think in advance about how you would turn him down if that happens.
And if it does happen, be sure to give the club feedback. Rule violations can’t simply be ignored.
Strictly speaking, the proper procedure would be to go to a café or somewhere similar and say something like, “I’m only having tea, but feel free to order whatever you’d like, including a meal.”
After clearing that step, you would then discuss whether you can go to a hotel, and once you leave the café, it would become a matter of personal choice.
However, someone like that will probably continue to prefer going straight to a hotel in the future, so you should carefully consider whether that’s really okay with you.
If you want to enjoy not only an adult relationship (intimate) but also the meals and dates before and after, I think you should decline men like this.

I’ve also enjoyed a hotel afternoon tea set with a Type C woman. Since she had to get up early the next morning, we had an adult relationship on our second meeting.
Some men lose their sex drive when they’re full after a meal, so I think it’s also common to opt for tea or a light snack.
