Ladies, what lengths, styles, and fabrics of skirts do you wear for dates on rainy days?
I’d also love to hear from men—what kinds of outfits do women tend to show up in, for example?
I always end up walking from the restaurant to the love hotel with every papa, so I get completely soaked.
When I wear a knee-length or below-the-knee-to-mid-calf pencil skirt, my stockings get wet and it feels awful. But a long skirt is out of the question…
Rain boots would keep my feet completely dry, but with pumps or ballet flats, water seems to get inside. Maybe it’s a problem with the way I walk.
I’d like to wear skinny pants with tall rain boots, but that’s obviously not really a date outfit, is it?

You’re talking about dates after the second one, right?
If so, you should be able to contact each other, so why not just bring it up directly?
You could say:
“Rainy-day dates make me feel gloomy. I really hate how my clothes, stockings, and the inside of my shoes get wet while I’m walking... I’d like to wear skinny pants with tall rain boots so I don’t get wet, but that’s not really an appropriate date outfit, is it?”
He might say, “It’s fine since it’s raining.”
And if he’s thoughtful, he might even say, “Then shall we take a taxi on rainy days?”

What’s it called again—the type of date where you don’t go outside and spend the date inside a hotel right next to the station? A ○○ date?
You have room service in the hotel, then there’s some cuddle time afterward. The staff should know what I mean. It’s nice not having to get wet in the rain, right?
Also, I don’t wear pantyhose. I only wear the kind of socks you put on with bare legs and heels.
There’s not much you can do if your shoes get wet, but either wear a cheaper pair or tell your papa that they’re soaked and uncomfortable and have him buy you a new pair.

It would probably be best to ask him to choose a city hotel with a restaurant, but I suppose that’s not realistic.
On rainy days, why not suggest taking a taxi? Getting soaked and feeling miserable every time must be tough.
Some rain boots do come with heels, but even then, if you wear a skirt, you end up looking like a mom picking up her child from kindergarten, don’t you? It doesn’t exactly feel like a date.
