I want to have it repaired, but only my papa knows where he bought it… Do you think it’s okay to tell him? Would it be better not to mention that it cracked? I really love it and want to get it fixed no matter what, but the crack looks like something was thrown at it, so I feel awkward bringing it up…

If you explain that, including how much you like it, he’ll probably be glad he gave you the present, and he shouldn’t feel uncomfortable knowing that you want to keep using it even after having it repaired. That said, I imagine he may be wondering how it ended up breaking in the first place.

I’m Kazu, a male member. You don’t have to ask the dresser’s manufacturer or the store where you bought it—your local glass shop should be able to repair or, more likely, replace the mirror. As for whether you should tell the papa in your question, I think it’s fine to mention it.
