Men rarely get rejected, basically. However, if you don’t have a steady job, you may not meet the membership criteria, so you’ll probably need to show that you’re a respectable, reliable person.
Even if you do have a steady job, you could still be rejected if you can’t disclose where you work and the staff find that suspicious. Not being able to reveal your workplace is practically like saying you’re planning to do something shady. It gives off a bad vibe.
You may also be turned down if your attitude or behavior during the interview makes the staff think it would be risky to let you join.
That said, as long as you’re an ordinary person, you generally won’t be rejected. Very few people fail.
As for clothing, casual clothes should be fine as long as you look clean and presentable.

I’ve heard that some men do fail the interview as well. Apparently, men are more likely to be rejected based on their behavior and the way they speak than on their appearance. That said, I imagine someone could also be rejected for looking unkempt or lacking basic cleanliness.
I didn’t dress up in any particular way for the interview—just my usual business-casual clothes.
If you say something creepy, like asking to choose a staff member from the very first meeting, you might be rejected. Even if you aren’t, you’ll probably be flagged as someone to watch from the moment you join.
Come to think of it, women may also be rejected for their behavior, such as being late, or for acting overly focused on money—not just for their appearance.
In short, if the staff think you’re likely to cause problems later on, you’ll fail the interview.
I think both men and women should avoid looking down on the staff or letting their guard down.

Almost everyone—men and women alike—gets accepted. People who are rejected are extremely rare.
After all, no matter how problematic someone may be, the club tends to accommodate them and work with what they’re like. And it’s not easy to tell during an interview whether someone is really unpleasant to deal with.
