When someone re-registers, a comment is added along the lines of, “They came in to re-register.”
I recently searched to see how things are handled these days and was surprised to find a case where, even though the person had changed their club name, their comment from the previous registration was still posted—and their former club name was mentioned in that comment.
When someone has new photos taken, we used to leave their previous comment posted, but I was wondering, “Do they do the same thing when someone re-registers?”
If that’s simply the club’s internal policy, there may not be much you can do about it. Still, you could ask something like:
“I saw that someone’s former name was appearing in the question box. That isn’t me, is it? If it is, would it be possible to have it removed?”
That might be worth checking.
Incidentally, if you get angry and say, “Why did you post it? Delete it immediately,” the staff may suddenly develop a negative impression of you, which could affect future offers. So I think it would be better to ask calmly.
I don’t think there’s any particular difference between re-registration and registering for the first time, but I was surprised that the old comment was still there…

I understand that this is a re-registration.
From a male member’s perspective, a misleading profile is grounds for a complaint. Rather than dragging the club into some strange alibi scheme, I think it would be better to focus on how to explain the situation to the other person effectively.
