Is it impossible for an 18-year-old who isn’t attending high school to have an interview?

Maezawa from the Corporate Planning Office here as well. Seattle, you know way too much. (LOL) Legally, you can register once you’re 18 or older. However, even if you’re a student, there’s still a possibility that someone from your school could file a complaint. So at Universe, you can’t register until after you’ve graduated. You might think that means you can register if you’re not attending high school, but there’s no way for someone who has just turned 18 to prove that they aren’t a high school student. Even if they’re working, they might still be working while attending school. It’s easy to prove that someone is a student, but how would you prove that they aren’t? For now, we’ve decided that this can’t be verified, so we apply the same rule to everyone: even if someone never attended high school, they can’t register until April 2 of the year in which those who did attend high school would graduate. I’m not entirely sure why it’s April 2, but I assume it’s because people born on April 1 and April 2 are in different school years. Using that date probably helps prevent mistakes during age verification. So, even if you’re 18, you can register as long as you’re in the same school year as people who have graduated from high school.

I’m a male member in Seattle. Anyone born after April 2, 2002 isn’t eligible, even if they’re already 18, regardless of whether they’re still in high school.
