Can male members see how many offers a female member has received so far, or ask the agency to look it up for them?

I’m Saito, a column writer♪ Female members might see this question and think, “Oh, I don’t like that.” Personally, I don’t think it’s a good idea either. Sorry, that’s just my personal opinion. (Though I’m guessing this is probably a question from a woman who’s worried about something.)

Our internal policy is not to disclose how many offers a female member has received when a male member asks—strictly speaking, we don’t disclose the number of dates. However, many employees look for loopholes in the rules and figure that as long as they don’t give an exact number of dates, it’s fine. So they’ll answer things like: “She gets quite a lot.” “She doesn’t get many.” I think this happens fairly often. As for women who haven’t received any offers, they may sometimes be highlighted with a note saying, “No offers.” You might think, “Isn’t saying ‘zero offers’ against the rules?” But perhaps it’s considered okay because zero wasn’t a number until it was invented? I’m not really sure why, but for some reason, even when employees force their way around the rules, they aren’t reprimanded. Incidentally, the system itself does not display the number of offers or dates a woman has received.
