I’m the age of a high school senior, but I’m not attending high school. Can I still register?

Maezawa from the Corporate Planning Office here as well. Legally speaking, there’s no issue with having an adult relationship (intimate) with a man once you turn 18. Separate from the issue of adult relationships, if you’re asking whether there are legal restrictions because someone is a minor, being 19 wouldn’t make a difference if they’re still legally underage. Also, the age of adulthood is scheduled to change to 18 starting April 1, 2022. That said, if we allowed people who are still attending school to register, we could potentially receive complaints from PTAs and similar organizations. For example, going back a while, the manga *Harenchi Gakuen* came under heavy attack for allegedly being harmful to children’s education. There have been various other cases as well. That’s why we don’t allow students to register, even if they’re 18. In this case, you may feel that registration should be possible since you’re not attending school. However, there are no official documents that prove someone isn’t in school. Even if someone is actually a student but lies and says they aren’t enrolled, we have no way of knowing. Therefore, even if you’re not attending high school, you can’t register until the first April after you turn 18. If there’s any official document that can prove someone isn’t a student, please let us know. It may lead us to change our policy in the future.
