What do you say when an acquaintance asks what you do for a living? Universe seems very kind to women and has made a great impression, but I was wondering if people unfamiliar with it might not really understand what a dating club is when they hear the term…
Maezawa from the Corporate Planning Office here as well.
When you mention a “dating club,” people sometimes react like, “Huh?”
I suppose it’s only natural for someone unfamiliar with it to wonder what it is. Even if I rephrase it as a “relationship club,” many people still don’t really get it.
So I usually explain it as something like a matchmaking service or marriage agency—but not quite a marriage agency.
I enjoy explaining things, so if they ask for more details, I start from the very beginning and go through everything carefully. But people who know me might feel sorry for the other person…
That’s how long and detailed my explanations can get. (笑)
I doubt anyone reading this doesn’t know what a dating club is, but to the general public, it seems to be a term they’ve never heard before.
