We don’t disclose whether any member is married, regardless of gender.
That said, with female members, men can sometimes figure it out from things like women mentioning it on their own even when they weren’t asked, whether they have been married before, whether they have children, and their preferred dating hours.
For male members, however, we don’t have fields asking whether they’ve been married or have children. So we don’t even know whether they’re married, and we don’t ask them to submit a certificate of singleness either.
So unfortunately, contacting the club wouldn’t be much help in this case.
However, since this man says he wants a relationship with marriage in mind, wouldn’t it be reasonable to say something like, “I’d like to see your certificate of singleness”?
I think that’s what “with marriage in mind” implies. There’s nothing strange about asking.
A certificate of singleness can be requested and obtained at the municipal office where your permanent domicile is registered. All you need is identification, such as a driver’s license.
The fee is only a few hundred yen, and if your registered domicile is far away, you can request it by mail.
