The girl I met on Patro had originally been using another app, but apparently switched because Patro has a field where women can state their desired allowance. She had written “4,” but I gave her 5 since I give every girl 5 across the board.
I don’t do this myself, but apparently quite a few financially comfortable papas will offer double—or even more—after seeing the requested amount, just to outbid the other papas.
Unrelated, but yesterday I took a girl to a southern island. She’d never been snorkeling before, so we signed up for a tour. When I called to reserve, they told me, “If you book through a site called ○, you’ll get 1,000 yen off.” I replied, “That means you’ll make less, right? Since I’ve gone to the trouble of calling you directly, I’ll just book it at the regular price.” She looked really happy about that. This is what I like about dealing with small independent businesses. I don’t like being overcharged, but it also feels good to be a good customer.
So I don’t give double, but I do try to be considerate in my own way without coming across as stingy. Maybe that’s just an old-school Showa-era attitude.

At the offer stage, you don’t know. All you’re told is, “I want ¥○○ per month.”
It’s vague because you don’t know whether she wants that amount from one person in a single payment or as a total from several people. But this isn’t a sex-service business, so I think that’s fine.
If the total amount is high, you might be more cautious, but otherwise, I think most people just meet first and negotiate without worrying too much.

When I discussed my allowance with the staff at Universe, they told me that setting it too high might lead to fewer offers.
Even if I said, “In that case, I’ll set it at 6,” it wouldn’t be listed on my profile, nor would the men be told. If I mistakenly assume the man knows, he may later say, “The allowance was lower than I expected. Didn’t you tell him?”
At Universe, the policy is for the two people to discuss and decide the allowance themselves. So even if you discuss it with the staff, that information isn’t passed on to the men.
> Don’t the men know the woman’s desired allowance when they make an offer?
No. At Universe Club, the men don’t know it when they make an offer.
They do list the woman’s monthly target amount, so if it says 120,000 yen, the man may wonder what that means and think about it in various ways. However, he won’t be able to figure out the answer before meeting her. Also, many women simply give an off-the-cuff answer when suddenly asked about it during the interview, so they often forget that they even said 120,000 yen.
> What about the occasional women asking for 100,000 or 200,000 yen?
That means there was something about you that made that particular man feel you were worth paying that much.
> I thought men chose from the women available within their budget.
That isn’t how it works at Universe. But even if the allowance were listed, I think the way they approach it would be slightly different:
They choose a woman first, then check the allowance. If it’s over their budget, they decide not to proceed. If it’s within their budget, they make the offer.
Of course, if someone has a firm maximum amount they’ll never exceed, then your understanding would be correct.
> I was once told not to set my allowance too high. What do you think?
For example, a man whose budget is 5 is unlikely to make an offer to someone asking for 6. So naturally, you’ll receive fewer offers.
However, if you feel that receiving an offer of 5 when your desired amount is 6 offers little benefit, you could also view fewer offers as a positive thing.
If you set it at 6 because you genuinely feel that 6 is acceptable, I think you should leave it as it is.
If you only want offers from men willing to pay 10 or more, then you should set it at 10.
(Although Universe doesn’t actually have a system that works that way.)

On women’s profiles:
- “Patro” means the specific allowance amount she wants.
- “Club” means a rough idea of how much she’d like to receive per month.
So if you clearly wrote “6,” you’re probably referring to the Patro amount, right?
Naturally, the higher your desired allowance, the fewer offers you’ll get.
But if you’re getting offers from papas (male supporters) who pay 100,000 or 200,000 yen when you’re asking for 60,000, then there’s no need to change anything. You must be exceptionally attractive and have a great personality (and be good in bed too), if that’s really the case.

On Patro, you can clearly state the allowance you’re looking for, so lots of women include it in their profiles.
As everyone has mentioned, Universe Club lists the monthly amount they want based on what they said during the interview, so it can be somewhat useful as a reference. That said, I once met someone who said she wanted 70,000 yen pay-per-meeting, even though her listed monthly preference was only 30,000–50,000 yen. Of course, I politely declined.
Hope that helps.

Sometimes women secretly include their pay-per-meeting expectations in the comment section they can edit.
I may offer ¥300,000 a month to a woman who wants ¥50,000 monthly, or offer ¥60,000 per meeting to someone asking for ¥500,000 a month. So the figures are only a guideline, and whether they match the allowance we actually agree on depends on the circumstances.
Update: Come to think of it, the woman I met yesterday actually lowered her requested allowance. I’ve never met a girl like that before. Just when I thought she was a really nice girl, she turned out to be pretty passive, so I don’t feel like continuing. She really was a nice girl, though. (Second time saying it.)

Aren’t you confusing it with Patro or another club?
As the other respondents have mentioned, Universe Club doesn’t offer a pay-per-meeting allowance arrangement.

At Universe Club, they list the monthly allowance being requested, but not how much is expected per meeting.
If someone is asking for ¥500,000 or ¥1,000,000 per month, I assume their expected amount per meeting would also be fairly high.
However, even among women asking for less than ¥100,000 a month—such as ¥50,000, ¥60,000, or ¥70,000—some say they expect the same amount or even more per meeting than their monthly request. Honestly, I don’t find the figures very reliable.
