Reading the questions, I’m starting to think that might really be the case—are more men joining lately? Judging by the offers I’ve been getting, I’m increasingly likely to meet generous (well-paying) papas (¥150,000 or more per meeting) not just in Tokyo, but in Nagoya and Kyoto too. The clubs and PJs must be happy about that. Depending on how COVID goes, will opportunities to meet men like that keep increasing from here on out?

Unfortunately, even if the number of men like that has increased, I don’t think it has anything to do with whether you personally meet them. Those men are simply concentrating on women who were already receiving an allowance of 15 per pay-per-meeting arrangement. It just means offers are gathering around attractive women, so my guess is that the percentage of women receiving zero offers hasn’t changed much either… That’s the impression I sometimes get when I make inquiries.

It’s baffling that, among the just over ten people who have answered, three are data-analysis experts, yet when it comes to COVID-19, the world is still full of people who ignore the data and say absurd things like getting vaccinated is the only option. PJ girls, please think carefully about getting vaccinated. Don’t let fear of nothing more than a common cold ruin your future. As for answering the question: this is just my personal impression, but haven’t the women joining recently gotten a lot more attractive? Hmm… I guess that still doesn’t really answer the question. Papas, let’s keep doing our best! I also spent a small fortune on cosmetic surgery last month to look younger.

I’ve only compiled data from the end of 2017 onward, but the number of new members hasn’t changed much for either men or women. Looking at the total membership, as Taro mentioned, the number of male members has doubled, while the number of female members hasn’t changed much. As Kamihikōki points out, men tend to stay with the club, while the women are constantly changing. For example, I’ve only been a member for two years, which isn’t an unusually long time for a male member, but women who have been members for two years are in the minority. I think many women either find a papa and achieve their goal, or give up after failing to find one and leave the club fairly quickly. In fact, about half of the women I’ve stayed in touch with have already left the club, and nine out of the ten women I made offers to last year have quit. In other words, the questioner’s increased chances of meeting a generous (well-paying) papa may simply be because they’ve learned how to handle themselves more effectively.

I’m with Paper Airplane on this one! > If the number of female members stays the same, that means women are constantly joining and leaving. Men keep coming back as regulars because that’s what they’re looking for. Exactly! Relationships through an exclusive dating club are a very high-level kind of relationship. I think it’s better not to be too greedy and to value the connections you make. It would be too sad if it were only about checking your compatibility, so do your best to build something that can continue!

Seeing how glamorous the recent new female members have been, > “There are more and more opportunities to meet men like that.” I agree. The virtuous cycle of men and women meeting each other consists of lots of new women and men who become regulars. So for women, the key is how quickly they can secure a generous (well-paying) papa or a good papa. Looking only at new memberships, the number of new male members is only about one-fifth to one-tenth the number of women. If you feel reassured by the large overall number of male members, you may end up receiving offers at first but having no continuing arrangements in the end… As Taro wrote, the fact that the number of female members doesn’t change means that women are constantly being replaced. Men become regulars and continue because they’re looking for that. If you make the first three days, three weeks, and three months count, I think you’ll often find that it leads to good encounters. Once three months have passed, many women will end up being pushed out by new female members.

The number of female members is about the same as it was in 2017, while the number of male members has nearly doubled. So I think things have become more favorable for women. Even if the rate at which they receive offers stays the same, the absolute number of offers increases—and more women are getting enough offers for market forces to come into play. The situation across the industry as a whole may be different. There’s probably also competition between apps and dating clubs. In fact, my impression is that other dating clubs haven’t seen such a major shift in their gender ratios over the past five years. So even among dating clubs, I think Universe Club has become a particularly good place for women. Taro
