Come to think of it, we hadn’t explicitly prohibited it.
However, the club assumes that the man will pay for the meal on the first meeting. I suppose we never made it a rule because we never expected a male member to want to split the bill.
Since the expectation is that the man pays for the meal, I’d like men to do so.
If a man makes her split the bill, he may be deemed not to meet the membership requirement of being “a gentleman,” and could potentially be forced to leave the club.
