I have no problem sitting next to women like that. But for some reason, women on the train avoid sitting next to me. At first, I thought I was imagining it, but men don’t avoid me, so it really seems to be only young women who do. Even wealthy older men don’t avoid me. Sometimes they even give me their business cards when we’ve just met. What do you think might be causing women to avoid me?

Maezawa from the CEO’s Office here. Could it be that you’re glaring at women, or giving off an aura that makes people feel they shouldn’t sit next to you? Also, most people probably wouldn’t want to sit next to someone wearing strong perfume—but the person wearing it often doesn’t notice themselves… Other people may be thinking, “That smell is intense…” To find out, why not try riding the train without wearing any perfume at all? (You can always put some on after you arrive, but I think using about half your usual amount would be better.)
