Have you ever run into a man or woman you’d parted ways with? How did you feel at the time?

I have the same usual hangouts as a papa (a male supporter) I parted ways with a little while ago, so I feel like we’re bound to run into each other eventually. If we happened to cross paths while we were both doing papa-katsu (compensated dating in Japan), (at an open hotel lounge or lobby, or at the entrance to a popular private-room restaurant, for example) it would be incredibly awkward just imagining it. Of course, if it happened, I’d pretend not to notice, but I think I’d feel pretty sad.

Maezawa from the CEO’s office here. If you parted on ordinary, amicable terms, then even if you ran into each other somewhere, I think you’d both simply pretend not to know each other, as adults. So I don’t think you have anything to worry about. I can’t say what would happen if you ended things by hurling insults at each other, but it’s probably best not to part that way.

I’ve never run into one of them, but if I did, it would probably be heartbreaking. Even typing this out feels heartbreaking. Men are sentimental creatures, after all. I absolutely don’t want to run into one—or see her again. A loser of a man
