I’m planning to use it after retaking my photos and updating my profile, so I really hope this feature sticks around in a stable form.
That’s why I hope women won’t just send the same copy-and-paste message to everyone, and that men won’t look at it thinking, “Not this again.” Instead, I hope they’ll see it as someone who’s genuinely interested reaching out to them and take a look at her profile.

> When I receive a “You’re lovely” message, does the woman’s photo appear as well?
When someone sends a “You’re lovely” message, the photo is intentionally darkened so it’s harder to see—encouraging the recipient to view her profile. (In reality, this is also to make the text easier to read.) The message is displayed over the photo.
> I’m hesitant to send them because if women receive a huge number of these messages, wouldn’t sending one have the opposite effect?
I don’t think they’ll receive quite that many, but since the feature was just added, it does seem like a lot of women are sending them.
I think things will settle down after about a month, so sending one then might be a good idea.
On the other hand, after a month, men may lose interest as well, so it’s hard to say which approach is better.

I’m Dai, a male member.
Since I live in a different area from the branch where I registered, I don’t receive that many messages.
Another possible reason is that I haven’t made my occupation or annual income public.
I imagine men who list a high annual income receive a lot more messages.
I’ve heard that’s the case on dating apps, too.
Regardless of whether I’m interested or not, I make sure to read every message I receive.
