I’m going in for a reshoot and am thinking of asking to have no video this time. Does not having a video lower the chances of receiving offers? Also, gentlemen, would you still consider making an offer to someone without a video?

I’m Dai, a male member. Sometimes, after watching a video, I feel motivated to make an offer. Other times, I decide not to. If I’m already leaning toward not making an offer, meeting in person would probably be a mismatch anyway. So from the man’s perspective, having a video is reassuring because it helps prevent mismatches. That’s why not having a video makes it harder to decide whether to make an offer, and it’s only natural that the number of offers decreases as a result.

I don’t like videos either. I also wish people would stop asking such ridiculous questions. That said, it does seem true that a lot of people use videos as a reference. Marika

Maezawa from the CEO’s office here. There are women who look fairly ordinary in photos, but after watching their videos, I suddenly really want to meet them. Once you can see their gestures, the way they speak, and the tone of their voice, I feel their impression is often much better than from photos alone. On the other hand, for someone who gets comments like, “You’d be beautiful if you just kept quiet,” or “Does your voice sound rough from drinking?” I feel it might be better not to include a video. Even so, if you meet in person and end up disappointed, the relationship won’t continue, so ultimately I think having a video is better. In the first place, I believe you had been registered with a video until now. Why did you start wanting to remove it? That said, I think it’s different for people who photograph especially well.
