My offers have decreased since I changed my profile picture to one showing cleavage. Is going for a sexy look a bad idea?

I’m Fuu, a column writer. Have you ever changed your hair color to match your new look—or gained weight? If you want to excite papas browsing your profile and receive lots of offers, showing a little cleavage probably won’t be enough. If you’re confident in your figure, you might even consider going all the way to a swimsuit photo. If your sexy look feels half-hearted, a neat and wholesome style may appeal more to papas. Compared with a sexy look, there seems to be more demand for an ordinary, classy, or innocent-looking style.

Is it because of the cleavage, the time that’s passed, or her expression and overall vibe? Aren’t the factors besides cleavage more important? I don’t think breasts matter all that much, though… Paper Airplane

Maezawa from the CEO’s Office here. Simply showing some cleavage can sometimes make for a questionable photo. If a man sees it and thinks, “Wow, that’s impressive,” you may get more offers. But if he doesn’t, it could actually reduce the number of offers. It varies from person to person, but if you’re an F cup or larger, showing some cleavage will probably have an effect. Ultimately, though, you need to consider the overall impression. Your clothes and other factors matter too. If the photo makes you look heavier after showing cleavage, then factors other than the cleavage are affecting the result. Come to think of it, I’ve sometimes seen a woman with several really nice photos, but then her fifth or sixth photo makes her look heavier, and I wonder, “Why did she include this picture?” So, I can’t really say without seeing your actual profile. If you contact me directly, I can at least tell you whether the photos work well or not.

I’m Kazu, a male member. I think some women are suited to that kind of appeal, while others aren’t. Being half-hearted about anything usually doesn’t work out well. Personally, I would never make an offer based solely on cleavage. I don’t pay much attention to bust size, so I often don’t realize whether a woman has a large or small chest until we’re in bed.
