I’ll answer as Maezawa from the CEO’s office.
I think it’s because their movements are subtly different.
It feels like everything they do is just a little different.
For example, even something as simple as sitting in a chair can make a big difference in how someone comes across—whether they sit up straight or not.
When those tiny differences show up in everything they do, not just in the way they sit, I think it gives them a more refined appearance.
Come to think of it, models learn how to walk, don’t they?

I’d say it comes down to your hairstyle, makeup, and the way you carry yourself.
Also, high-end brands aren’t meant to make you look refined.
Each high-end brand conveys a different message and image. Take Prada, for example—it’s not exactly a brand that makes you look elegant. If anything, it has more of a mischievous, “young punk” vibe.
Dior and Hermès, on the other hand, do strike me as refined.
Japanese people have simply twisted the equation into “high-end brands = probably rich = probably classy.”
