Isn’t Universe Club pretty harsh on overweight women? I once looked through the member page with my papa (a male supporter), who has since left without renewing, and saw a Standard female member who wasn’t particularly attractive and was overweight. She only had two or three photos, and they were all basically the same shot of her just sitting there from the same angle. I thought it was awful, to be honest. It seemed like they were clearly discriminating way too much based on appearance. Aren’t the staff here trained to handle things like that?

I’ll answer this as Maezawa from the president’s office. I don’t know which woman you’re referring to, but people who are genuinely overweight are rejected during the interview process in the first place. So when you say “fat,” exactly what weight are you talking about? If you mean someone who weighs 50 kg, then your discriminatory attitude is so extreme that I’d honestly have to ask whether you were properly educated. As for the photos, some staff are better at taking them than others, and it’s also possible that the woman sent in the photo herself. I’m not sure it’s fair to automatically label that as discrimination. Of course, that possibility can’t be ruled out. Also, you said you viewed the member page—please tell us that male member’s name. You wrote about Universe’s training, but did you not warn that male member, who was violating the rules? I’d like to see him properly educated. Since that man is sharing a woman’s information with other women, we should make sure he can’t rejoin. I assume he understood that there could be consequences when he showed it to them, so I don’t think this would cause him any undue disadvantage.

I’m Fuu, a columnist. That may simply have been the angle at which you looked your best. Think about it: the club has no reason to discriminate. If there’s an offer, they can make money. If they were genuinely thinking about how to make money, they would reject you during the interview if they felt it wasn’t possible. There’s no point in discriminating against you after you’ve joined.

I’m Kazu, a male member. What kind of upbringing is that supposed to be? Either way, I don’t think it’s very convincing coming from someone who shows—or has been shown—members-only pages. Maybe that man didn’t simply leave without renewing; perhaps he was forcibly expelled.
