If you don’t have the money, I don’t think you should force yourself to use a dating club.
With a papa-katsu app, going straight to a hotel may be acceptable, so you can save the cost of the café and won’t have to pay a setup fee. It seems like a better fit for you.
Don’t push yourself.
You should use a platform that suits you.
That way, you can avoid conversations like, “Why is your desired allowance 100,000 yen?”

In Osaka, I think the St. Regis, Conrad, CROSS Hotel, and Hotel Monterey Grasmere would all be lovely. The Imperial Hotel is nice too, I believe.
Personally, I like CROSS Hotel because of its interesting design.

You might want to look for hotels that match the kind of atmosphere you prefer.
When I’m looking for a day-use hotel, I usually use Rakuten Travel.
Any reasonably upscale hotel—not a business hotel—will probably have a café or lounge.

If you don’t enjoy doing research and making all kinds of plans to show your date a good time, you may not be cut out for it. Going from a coffee shop to a day-use hotel can end up feeling like a call-girl service…
When I’m alone, a bowl of Yoshinoya is more than enough to make me happy. But when I’m eating with a woman, I think it’s good to enjoy places that cost many times more—and to have fun spending hours, even an entire day, coming up with and refining date plans over and over.
If you want to make a woman happy, you could even go around trying restaurants on your own to find delicious places, while training your palate to appreciate the differences.

There are convenient services like Google and Yahoo. If you search for “day-use hotels” on one of those sites, you’ll find all kinds of useful information.
You’ll probably see a site called Ikyu among the results, so you could check features like “Popular Hotels for Day Use” on sites like that.
You can also search by typing it directly into your browser’s address bar.
