Some women have a thicker layer of tissue between the vagina and the base of the clitoris, and not much is known about the deeper areas of the vagina. I’ve read that most internal orgasms are actually caused by stimulating the part of the clitoris that’s embedded inside. So, in that sense, internal and external orgasms aren’t really that different—the main difference is psychological. So if you can’t orgasm from penetration, it may be because the tissue between the vagina and the base of the clitoris is thicker, or because penetration isn’t stimulating the base of the clitoris effectively. Either way, if you can already orgasm from external stimulation, I don’t think you need to feel pressured to achieve an internal orgasm. That kind of pressure may actually make it harder to orgasm. You’re still young, and I think it’s amazing that you can orgasm externally at all.
