When someone’s class is lowered, it’s usually because the staff like her and believe she’ll still receive offers at that class level, but there’s a gap between how the staff see her and how the male members see her, so no offers come in. Conversely, if the staff don’t particularly like someone, she may simply be left as she is—for example, remaining in Platinum with zero offers. She may be the kind of woman who would actually receive offers if she were moved down to Gold or something. On the other hand, ranks tend to drop after a certain amount of time has passed. You might assume that women with higher ranks go on more dates, but that’s not the only reason I decide whether to approach someone. I once made an offer to a woman whose rank had risen from Standard to Gold, and she was great. Conversely, when a woman’s rank has dropped, I often look at her profile and find myself strangely understanding why. So I’ve never made an offer to a woman whose rank had gone down.
