Some industries saw their business grow during the COVID-19 pandemic, while others became much quieter. Depending on the company, some people may be extremely busy.
You could also say that new business opportunities have increased, so many companies seem to be expanding into new investments.
Still, no matter how busy I am, I’ll make time to meet women involved in papa-katsu (compensated dating in Japan).

Things really do seem to be picking up in October, though I suppose it depends on the industry. Korea has started moving again with its vaccine passport integration, but China is still lagging behind, lol. The power restrictions are such a nuisance.
What’s interesting is that luxury ryokan reservations are completely booked up regardless of the Go To campaign, lol. I’m sure papa-katsu is part of that too, right? lol
I may be getting more invitations for drinks—or rather, casual invitations to discuss the next arrangement. Since we keep repeating the cycle, there seems to be a strong feeling of “let’s go whenever we can.” December is just around the corner, so things really do feel hectic.
I’ll keep working and having fun too, though, lol.

In areas where the state of emergency has been lifted, there’s a possibility that business entertainment and drinking parties will increase. However, businesses are still being asked to close by 9 p.m., so it may not make much difference after all…

October is crazy—my schedule is packed with business dinners and corporate golf outings.
All these business owners seem to want to go on dates with me. I even attend their birthday parties and things like that.

Now that the state of emergency has been lifted, I imagine work-related social engagements, such as meetings and dinners, that had been put on hold will start increasing again.
In fact, because of that, there’s someone I won’t be able to meet next week.

I’m Maezawa from Shacho-shitsu, and I’ll answer this too.
People are usually busy in December, so I don’t often hear about October being particularly busy.
That said, with the current COVID situation, some people may be getting busier because the state of emergency is being lifted.
However, I haven’t heard anything like that from people on the ground, and I don’t feel that offers have decreased either.
In any case, there’s no point worrying about whether it’s true or not. I think it would be better to increase the number of papas.
A papa you can meet is better than one you can’t.
