Come to think of it, when I was in college, I realized that adults weren’t as mature as I had imagined. Looking back, I remember concluding that my own parents—my closest examples of adults—weren’t all that mature either.

What is it about papas that makes you think they’re childish? Sometimes I feel that way when a papa keeps teasing the girl he likes—it’s kind of childish.
I just had dinner with that papa, and he has this cute, boyish side alongside the presence that comes with his age and having weathered the harsh waves of business. I was absentmindedly looking at his face, thinking, “I really like him… he’s so cool,” when he increased my allowance.
