I’d like to reply to everyone individually, but that would make this very long, so please let me respond all at once. Thank you. Flag Maker, your answer described me exactly. I’m bad at asking for favors and showing my weaknesses to others. I run away from people’s kindness. I’ve been this way for as long as I can remember—ever since elementary school, whenever someone was kind to me, I would burst into tears. I’m someone who is vulnerable to other people’s kindness. How did you figure me out so well...? Have you had someone like this close to you? How did you notice it? (It apparently won’t be published unless there’s a question, so I’d really like to hear your answer.) Osaka I once developed depression after dwelling on what it meant to live in the past, and ended up seeing a psychiatrist, so I’ve been trying not to think about it. I’m still receiving treatment, so I’ll think about it once I’ve recovered. Mac, Shingori, and Maezawa I’d never heard of the idea of starting with the form of gratitude. I’ll try beginning with expressing gratitude outwardly. When I searched online for “people who can’t feel grateful,” I could find their “characteristics,” but not any specific ways to improve, so your answers were incredibly helpful. Thank you, everyone. I feel much lighter now. I’ll read through your answers again and again until I can truly accept them. I hope that someday I’ll be able to write an answer like yours myself.
