A papa I’ve only met twice is asking me to completely shave because he wants to try candle play. I do want to try the candles, but what do other men think about being completely shaved? Would a boyfriend be put off if I got one?

I’m Fuu, a column writer. Women who do papa-katsu tend to be very beauty-conscious, so a lot of them get full-body hair removal. Even those who don’t usually keep themselves well-groomed. Candle play is fine, though. You’re a good girl for fulfilling your papa’s wishes. With hair removal and going fully bare becoming so common these days, I don’t think your boyfriend will be put off either.

I’m Nana Ayase ♡ If you get a boyfriend, you can just tell him, “During my period, I feel unclean, and I always want to keep myself clean.” I get hair removal because body hair can cause odor and feels unhygienic. It seems like a lot of people get hair removal these days.

I’m Maezawa from the President’s Office, and I’ll answer this too. > What do other men think about being completely shaved? It’s totally normal, to the point where I might assume she had hair removal done. Maybe it’s part of the hair-removal industry’s strategy, but I think more women don’t have any hair than do. Unlike in the past, I think men are also less likely to see hairless women as too “professional” and dislike it. Since he specifically asked you to shave, you could try saying: “I’d like to get permanent hair removal, but it’s so expensive…” He might even offer to cover the cost of medical hair removal. But whatever you do, don’t directly ask him to pay for it. The key is simply to mention that you’d like to try it but it’s difficult because it’s expensive. Shaving down there is a hassle once it starts growing back, and I can’t help wondering whether shaving it every time might eventually make it grow back rough and stiff, like a beard.

I’m Kazu, a male member. By “completely shaved,” you mean all the pubic hair, right? Among the women I’ve met through the offers I’ve made, most have had all their pubic hair shaved, so I see it positively—I think it looks neat and makes oral sex easier. I don’t know what people in the questioner’s generation think, though.
