If someone gave you an STI, would you ever get back together with them, no matter whether they had somewhere to live or apologized? Absolutely not. It’s terrifying that they think they could be forgiven.

If I were the woman involved, I’d pretend to be angry, but I’d probably think:
“Great, I don’t have to be intimate with him for a while. Lucky me. I’ll tease and torment him a little while I’m at it, get him to stop seeing other women, and then have him buy me something as an apology for lying!”
Rather than forgive him, I’d probably take advantage of the situation.
Thank you for providing such useful leverage. Maybe this is what reality looks like.

If a girl has no offers coming in after being infected with an STI, she can’t just leave all of a sudden, can she? Moving costs money, you know.
Are you still living comfortably at your parents’ place? I think you’d understand if you had to manage everything with your own money.

Whether you can forgive it or not seems to depend on the circumstances—whether it involves a man or a woman, whether it’s a romantic relationship or papa-katsu (compensated dating in Japan), and so on.
If it’s a romantic relationship, it’s practically confirmed cheating, so you wouldn’t be able to forgive it, right?
But with papa-katsu (compensated dating in Japan), both parties understand from the outset that they may be seeing multiple, relatively unspecified partners.
Even if protection is used, the possibility of catching an infection is never zero.
That said, I always use protection to minimize the risk.
If you find that dirty, you should stay away from the sex-work industry.
