I’m Maezawa from the CEO’s office, and I’ll answer as well.
I wouldn’t immediately turn you down, but men may be put off if you’re deeply in debt, so I’m not sure I’d recommend mentioning it.
Men often want to know the reason, and some don’t want their support used for frivolous spending, so you may be thinking about how to explain it.
I feel it might be better to say something like:
“My financial situation is difficult, so I registered because I thought it would help to have a little more money.”
“Having financial difficulties” can be interpreted in many ways. It could include someone who has to repay one million yen a month due to multiple debts, as well as someone with no debt who simply can’t afford the things they want.
Of course, if you have a different reason, I think it’s fine to say something like, “I want to have some fun.”

It might be better not to include that in your profile. Men may feel intimidated, thinking you’ll come on too strong.
I think it’s fine to mention it to the staff during your interview.

Teramoto from the Tokyo branch of Universe Club here.
If, during an interview, a woman told me, “I’m currently dealing with multiple debts and want to pay them off,” I would actually feel reassured.
That’s because it’s easy to sense that she genuinely needs the money and is serious about participating in the club, rather than someone who registers without a clear reason, saying things like, “I just kind of want some money,” or “I don’t really have a specific goal—maybe living expenses?”
If you absolutely don’t want something included in your club profile comments, discussing it with the staff member conducting your interview is one option.
We’re not the kind of company that writes down everything you don’t want to share, so please feel free to talk to us.
Whatever your reason may be, the club treats both male and female members equally, so we encourage you to come in for an interview first!

Lying isn’t right, but I think it’s fine as long as you don’t make it too serious. In a way, the good thing about an escort club is that it’s contractual, so as long as you can honor the agreement properly, I don’t think there’s any particular problem.

I feel like many women avoid mentioning debt repayment because it doesn’t give the best impression.
In fact, when I search for women on Universe using “debt” as a keyword, only a small number of profiles come up.
Still, I imagine there are actually quite a few women in that situation.
Student loan repayment doesn’t carry the same negative image, even though technically, it’s still debt…

If you mention it during the interview, I imagine the club would word it more mildly in their comments, something like “wants to pay off some debt.”
If a woman’s reason for registering is debt repayment, men reading her profile might see her as financially irresponsible—or try to take advantage of her situation.
I think it’s safest to give a truthful but less specific reason, such as wanting some extra money on top of her living expenses.

I don’t think you need to be quite so honest about everything.
If you put men off and stop receiving offers, there’s no point.
I think it’s better to open up only to people you trust after they’ve made you an offer.
