When a woman who was originally Type A changes to Type B, the first thing that comes to mind is:
“She changed because she wasn’t getting any offers.”
I think that’s almost certainly the case.
That leaves two possibilities:
1. She changed to Type B just to get offers, even though she was lying.
2. She changed to Type B because she became willing to accept an adult relationship (intimate) in order to get offers.
That’s generally how people tend to see it.
However, Type B is dinner only (no intimacy) for the first meeting. So, if you’re only considering the first meeting, A and B are the same.
Because of that, even if she’s the type described in 1, many men may assume there’s a good chance she can at least meet for dinner once.
In case 1, though, every meeting after the first would also be dinner only. Since that’s effectively the same as Type A, men may think there’s no reason to make an offer even though she’s listed as Type B.
Some men may want to make an offer if it’s case 2, but since you can’t rule out case 1, I think it ultimately affects the number of offers she receives.
For that reason, if you’re going to choose Type B, I think it’s better to select B from the start rather than initially presenting yourself as Type A.
If you chose Type A at first, I believe the way to recover is to change to Type C.
Even with Type C, you can still turn down 50% of the offers. But since you’re turning them down, the second meeting won’t simply be dinner again.
That means most men will be able to tell if a woman is trying to lie about it.
So, if you switch straight to Type C, you can expect roughly the same number of offers as someone who selected C from the beginning.
That said, your profile will have been moved farther back in the members’ listings, so I think the best approach is to make the change together with new photos.
If you can tell the staff without hesitation that you’re Type C, then even if a man contacts them, they can say:
“She really does seem to be Type C.”
That should be fine.

I’m Hikōki, a male member.
I do think it would have quite an impact.
That said, if I saw it as an opportunity, I’d still make an offer. I don’t really worry about things like looking more like an A-type or being misled about someone’s type. There are also a few men who actually find that more natural, even if they’re in the minority.
