Maezawa from the President’s Office here—I’ll answer this as well. You can register without showing your face. The Universe official website also has an article titled: “Papa-katsu (compensated dating in Japan) can be done without showing your face” https://universe-club.jp/women/not-show-face/ Near the end, it also says: “If you wish to register without showing your face, please write ‘I would like to register without showing my face’ in the questions and requests section of the interview application form.”

I’m Tetsu, a male member. I think it’s fine since some women register with their faces and appearance blurred. However, from a male member’s perspective, this limits the information available about her looks, which can work against her when we’re considering whether to make an offer.

I’m Taro, a male member. If you’re okay with a blurred photo, there are women like that. You’ll probably get fewer offers than you would with a clear face photo, though. Some women are also okay with showing their face on the condition that it’s only visible after an offer is made. You may want to think about where you draw the line. When you don’t show your face, the profile comments written by the staff become a pretty important source of information, so it’s best to make a good impression. Putting on a polished front like you’re at a scripted job interview won’t work, no matter how well you do it. Show your genuine self and focus first on impressing the staff member who interviewed you. I’d approach it with the mindset that if you can’t win them over, you won’t be able to win over a future papa (a male supporter) either.
