What’s with people who don’t make restaurant reservations?

My monthly papa never makes reservations at restaurants. So, when we first met, the place he wanted to go to was full, and he made me walk about two kilometers. Ever since then, whenever he says, “Let’s meet in front of that restaurant,” it turns out to be temporarily closed or something. Should I just make the reservations myself? I honestly don’t understand why he never makes reservations.

Maezawa from the CEO’s office here. I think he’s probably just not someone who makes reservations very often. Since he normally doesn’t book ahead, he likely doesn’t see it as unusual. You could try suggesting something like: “I’d hate for the place to be full, so would you like me to make the reservation?” He may also be worried about cancellation fees if work suddenly comes up or the woman suddenly can’t make it, though…
