I didn’t realize black was the most common color. I had the impression that red might be popular too.
Is it something like:
SM = leather goods
Leather goods = black
?
It seems like having a variety of colors would be better, but perhaps manufacturers end up with unsold stock if they make anything other than the best-selling colors.
Pentax once offered cameras with a wide range of choices, like “100 colors × 100 styles,” but considering that’s no longer available today, maybe black naturally ends up being the most popular color people buy.

Personally, I prefer black. I’m not sure why it’s more common, but I think it may be because of the contrast with skin mentioned earlier, the slimming effect of the color, the impression it gives, and its visual weight.
I usually buy them on Amazon.
