That said, if the staff member said it would take a week, you’re more likely to have passed. If “one week” was just written in a template, it doesn’t mean much. But if the staff member personally told you that verbally, you should have passed. Apparently, if you didn’t pass, they’ll say something like “by tomorrow.” Maybe they simply forgot to record the video, but either way, that could affect future offers, so it’s a bit concerning. If you did pass, I think there’s a good chance they’d approve a reshoot even before six months have passed if you ask to have it done about a month later, saying you’d like to record a video.

Even if you get accepted, there’s no guarantee you’ll receive an offer, so you can’t let every little setback get you down or you’ll never make progress. It’s a universal truth that increasing your activity will lead to results, even if the odds of success are low. If there’s something you want, keep taking action toward it and you’ll get there eventually. Then, once you’ve reached your goal, if you find it’s nothing like you expected and think it’s totally pointless, you can just quit. Simple, right? So stop dithering and move forward.
