Once in a while, a man will call and say he’s quitting because his wife found out—while he’s actually standing in front of his wife—and then send a message like: “I’m not really quitting, so please keep that in mind.” But even that happens maybe once a year, if that. Since any actual trouble would be between the people involved, it’s possible they simply don’t contact us. Still, if they don’t even contact the staff, I’m not sure how you know it’s a dispute involving a member. It sounds like something that might happen on a matching site. There are all kinds of stories online about compensation claims, but I don’t hear much about it at Universe. Basically, resolving the issue is up to the individuals involved. However, it’s also important to protect yourself in advance so things don’t turn into a dispute. I’m Kazu, a male member. I’ve never heard anything like that. I believe the club is only involved up through the first dinner, not anything after the second meeting. Naturally, everything is at your own risk. I honestly couldn’t see how the club would be responsible for anything beyond that.
