I’ve heard about Universe Club and am considering joining.

If I pay the membership fee, does the one-year period until I have to pay the next annual fee begin from the date I pay the membership fee?
Or are the annual membership renewal dates fixed for all members at the same time?
Depending on how it works, I’m concerned that I could join and then have only a short time left until my membership expires and I need to renew by paying the next annual fee…
I’d appreciate a reply from anyone who knows.

I’m not sure what rumor you heard, but don’t forget that this is a place for well-off gentlemen to enjoy themselves（笑）

That’s almost correct.
“Almost”? Why?
Because if you have your interview and decide to join on the spot, you get a one-month extension as a same-day enrollment perk.
So, if you go home and think it over, your membership lasts one year from the date you join.
If you say you’ll join on the spot, it lasts one year plus one month from the date you join.
Also, if you’re referred by a current member, you’ll receive points equivalent to one setting fee for that class.
That’s worth ¥50,000 for Platinum and ¥100,000 for Black.
I seem to remember one of the other respondents saying they would introduce the club on their blog or something.
If you search online, you’ll probably find people writing about it.
Just be careful not to get referred to a fake Universe.
(I’ve never heard of that happening, though, so you should be fine.)
