With COVID cases rapidly increasing, especially in major cities, I’m worried that more male members may start canceling or postponing offers. Would it be better to wait until things calm down before re-registering and having new photos taken?

I’m a male member, Pap er Plane. Over the past month, there have been a lot of new female members joining, and their overall level seems to be returning to normal. With the festival also having an effect, it feels like many women are being flooded with offers. Some women seem to be receiving around 3–4 times as many offers as usual. New registrations have seemed to slow down a little over the past week, but with only a short time left in the festival, women are still very likely to be flooded with offers from men. From a woman’s perspective, this is an incredible time to take advantage of the demand. Whether you’re newly joining or re-registering, I think this is an exceptionally good opportunity. For women, this month—with just over a month left in the main part of the festival—will probably be the busiest period for offers in Universe’s history. From a man’s perspective, prices may remain extremely high, so it’s a bit complicated… For the time being, I’m thinking of waiting until the period when festival-related offers die down before deciding when to send offers. Ah, you mean re-registering. In that case, you may be able to get the same level of response as a new member, so the number of offers you receive now versus a month from now could be drastically different. Right now, it might be 40 offers. A month later, it might be 7. That’s the kind of difference there could be. If things go well, some women may earn, in these one or two months, what they would normally receive in allowances over half a year.

Maezawa from the Corporate Planning Office here as well. When the state of emergency was declared, offers understandably decreased, but at the moment, it doesn’t seem like they’ve gone down. Offers usually increase in the summer, and this year, too, the number of arrangements is about normal, with little impact from COVID-19. Rather than putting it off, I think it would be better to re-register now.

I’m Seattle, a male member. The number of tests has simply increased tenfold, and there are fewer severe cases than in April, so I’m not concerned. I’m taking precautions by wearing a mask, washing my hands, and avoiding touching my face. I didn’t go to nightlife establishments in the first place.
