I’m the person who asked the question, “What if she’s a woman at the level of a prefectural representative?”

This is Saito, the column writer♪ Sorry for the delayed response. When I said “prefectural-representative level,” I certainly didn’t mean it as a compliment. Those who are actually involved will understand, but I think that’s about the level of women who believe that simply being “beautiful” means they can make it. The way they greet people, express gratitude, write letters, and time their arrival; the effort they put into each task, their focus during lessons, their respect for others, and above all, the work they put in when no one is watching— I use the term to mean an immature woman who is lacking in those areas. And because the women involved are well aware of this, they look down on men who fawn over women of that caliber (or their titles). Sometimes, they themselves have nowhere else to go and end up lowering themselves to that level. Independent, beautiful women tend to hide those accomplishments. P.S. I think you’re beautiful as well, so I’m sure you’d be popular if you joined a dating club. However, I believe you should decide for yourself who you want to compare yourself with and where you want to establish your sense of superiority in life.
