I think it comes down to whether you want to enjoy sex with the person asking the question, or spend time with them outside of sex as well.
In my case, I’ll meet someone if I can enjoy spending time with them even if it’s just dinner. Otherwise, I won’t.

I think the question is whether you’d still want to meet even without an adult relationship.

If I already have plenty of other women I’m seeing, I don’t mind at all if things don’t happen that day.
After dinner, I’ll send her home early, though....
To put it even more oddly, I suppose it comes down to how much I stand to gain from meeting a woman.
If there’s something I can learn from her, I’ll take care of the physical side of things with someone else. If there’s nothing to learn, I simply won’t meet her in the first place.
If we’re assuming from the outset that there won’t be a physical relationship, I’m already in an environment where everyday life gives me plenty of stimulation without needing to use a dating club.

Maybe it comes down to the difference between people who are honest with themselves and those who try to look cool while worrying too much about others.
I’m the latter—I really want to reschedule, but I can’t bring myself to say so, and I end up agreeing to dinner only (no intimacy).
