We don’t fight.
Even if she takes a long time to respond, is late, cancels at the last minute, suddenly asks me to increase her allowance, or asks me to buy her something, I respond calmly and kindly—as long as it’s within what I’m willing to do. (That range depends on how much I care about her.)
Then, when I start thinking, “Ah, I’m done with this,” I simply cut things off myself without getting into an argument.
I imagine it feels comfortable for the women, but the ones who take that kindness for granted and gradually start letting themselves go usually don’t last long.
