I know it may sound strange to say this after signing up with the club, but I feel quite guilty about being treated to a meal and receiving an allowance as well.
If I get the chance to see him again, I’d like to give him a small gift.

Handkerchiefs are always a lovely gift, but female members often give them, so they can feel a little predictable. They can also be difficult for married men to take home.
I think small food items are nice because you can enjoy them after parting ways while savoring the afterglow—and they’re gone once you’ve eaten them.
In my case, I was happy when she said, “I made these homemade sweets for my boyfriend, so I brought some for you too…” It didn’t feel too heavy, since we’d been seeing each other for a long time.

I think that’s a wonderful idea.
Looking at it from a slightly different angle, I think he’d also appreciate it if you remembered what you talked about and brought it up the next time you met.
For example:
“You mentioned last time that you liked ○○’s ◎◎ movie, so I watched it for the first time the other day. I ended up liking it too!”
Or:
“You said last time that you had an important meeting at the end of this month. Did everything go well?”
I think both men and women appreciate seeing that someone has been thinking about them even when they’re apart.

I think men are happy simply knowing you feel that way. More than what you give them, it’s the thought behind it that matters, so I think anything would be fine.
A handkerchief seems like a safe choice.
If he likes sweets, chocolates might be nice too...
