Do they edit the photos or anything? I was shocked to read in a column for men that some staff members may be engaging in acts of betrayal due to a lack of internal controls. If that’s true, Universe would become unusable too, just like the clubs that do that.

Although I haven’t seen the column in question, I, Ren Kurosaki, Sub-Chief Coordinator at the Osaka branch of West Customer Loyalty Group, would like to respond. (In Osaka,) we do not edit our photos in any way. However, regarding videos, there was a period when, at Representative Kida’s direction, we filmed them using an app called SNOW as a separate category from our regular videos. It wasn’t intended as a reference for what someone looks like, but rather as something fun. Thank you for your continued support.

I believe this is referring to the following comment: “I once emailed them asking them to stop because someone was taking videos with SNOW in Osaka.” So, I understand that this appears to contradict the idea that: - Unlike other companies, Universe is good because it doesn’t post edited photos. - Editing photos is prohibited internally. If the person asking is already a member and has been on dates, they should know that there aren’t any women using edited photos. However, if a branch is doing this as an exception, I can think of two possibilities: 1. Branches are given fairly extensive authority, and branch managers have more discretion than they would at an ordinary company. So it’s possible that a branch manager decided to post edited videos on their own responsibility. 2. Editing photos is prohibited internally, but what about videos? Most staff members assume the same rule applies to videos, which is why nearly all of them are unedited. However, I don’t believe there was an explicit rule prohibiting video editing. So it’s possible that edited videos were posted. > “At a recent event, I happened to hear one of the girls mention that she had her photos edited.” I haven’t confirmed which woman this was, so I don’t know whether her photos were actually edited. If they were, I’d like to address it immediately. At the very least, I’ve never seen edited photos in Tokyo or the Kanto area. (That said, when professional models or other women ask us to replace their photos with ones they sent themselves, I can’t say whether those photos have been edited.)
