We welcome applicants from all over Japan for interviews, but since our office is located in Ginza, you would need to cover your own transportation costs.

I sometimes date people who live far away, but since I only give them a little extra for transportation, I don’t think it’s really a problem.
That said, you do need to offer some advantages and be proactive in return for paying more.

Personally, I’d really like to meet women from outside the Kanto area through the salon, so I’ve been asking the salon staff if there’s anything they can do about it…
(They haven’t come up with a solution yet, though.)
For the salon, the first meeting with a male member must take place inside the salon. There’s a 20-minute conversation, and if both people are comfortable afterward, they can leave together. At that point, the woman receives ¥20,000 as an allowance.
In theory, women from Nagoya or Osaka could register with the salon, but if they don’t end up going out after the conversation, they wouldn’t receive a single yen. Since the financial risk of traveling is significant, I feel it would be difficult in practice under the current system.
That said, there should definitely be demand from women who are already planning to come to Tokyo for work or other reasons, or those who think, “Who cares if I waste the transportation costs? I’m going to meet a salon man!!”
*If there are women with that kind of enthusiasm, I’d be the very first person to meet them（笑）*
In any case, I’d really appreciate it if the salon operators could come up with some kind of solution.

Living in Tokyo isn’t a requirement for applying to Salon, so anyone is welcome to apply.
However, your first meeting with a man will take place at SALON in Ginza, so you’ll need to be able to get to Ginza without too much difficulty.

Even if you don’t live in Tokyo, I think it should be fine as long as you live somewhere in the Kanto region. But if you live farther away, even if you pass the interview, it may be difficult to go on dates with men in the first place.
