Please advise on the best strategy for a married salaryman earning ¥10 million a year (¥7.5 million take-home pay, with ¥1 million in annual spending money) when using a dating club.

I’m Saito♪, a columnist. I don’t think the entire ¥1 million can be spent on women through an escort-style dating club. 1. Attend a party. (For an expense of ¥50,000–¥60,000, you can meet around 10 women.) 2. Continue seeing one or two of them regularly. I think that’s about the limit, but if things go well, you may be able to keep seeing them casually for quite some time.

I’m Maezawa from Shacho-shitsu, and I’ll answer this as well. Rather than focusing on your annual income, you mentioned that you have ¥1 million a year available to spend. So, if we base the strategy on that: You’d have about ¥80,000 per month to work with. That would probably mean making one offer per month to someone on the Standard or Gold plan, with roughly one date per month. For example, if you make an offer to someone on the Gold plan: - Setting fee: ¥30,000 - Meal for two: ¥10,000 - Transportation fee under the club’s rules: ¥10,000 (¥5,000 is also possible, but ¥10,000 is more common) - Venue after the meal: ¥10,000 - Allowance: ¥50,000 Wait—that puts you ¥30,000 over budget. >< However, once a long-term arrangement begins, you won’t need to pay the setting fee anymore, and the transportation fee under the club’s rules will no longer be necessary either. At that point, you’d likely only need to pay the allowance. So even with the calculation above, it seems like you could stay within an annual budget of ¥1 million.
