Maezawa here, answering as well.
Some men are unfamiliar with how the club works when they first join, so they may wonder:
Where should we meet?
(At a hotel, in front of a restaurant, at a station…?)
What level of restaurant would be appropriate?
(Too upscale might make her nervous, but something too cheap—like a family restaurant—wouldn’t be suitable either. So what’s the right balance?)
They may also wonder how things should progress,
(such as when to make an invitation),
or when to hand over the transportation allowance.
There are many things to think about.
Some men may pretend they already know all this, but an honest man may simply explain the situation to his partner.
That way, even if things feel a little awkward, she’ll understand why. And if she has experience with this kind of dating, she may even be able to guide him.
I can’t say whether he’s telling the truth or not, but if you contact the club, I think they should be able to provide you with some information.
(Though they may speak somewhat vaguely.)

When I was first registered, a papa once said to me during an offer:
“You seem experienced… you look tough to deal with…”
Apparently, some women believe that if you seem experienced, the going rate will be lowered.
I imagine he also reads this Q&A forum, but a male acquaintance of mine was told by a Gold-ranked woman at their first setup that the going rate was 10, and he paid her that amount without question.
She apparently told him that she met her current papa at a “super hotel.” Since my wealthy acquaintance didn’t immediately realize what kind of hotel she meant, he later found out she was referring to the business hotel chain Super Hotel—and it became a funny story between us.
I don’t think women generally try to lower the going rate just because it’s their first time, but perhaps some men do say things like that during their first few months after joining, when they’re still new to everything.
Please watch over them warmly.
