If something this minor is enough to make you feel anxious, I don’t think you’re suited for it, so you may be better off not applying.
The reason is simple: even after applying, you might get anxious on the interview day and cancel at the last minute. Or, even if the interview goes well and you’re accepted and registered, you may spend your days worrying about whether you’ll receive any offers. And once an offer does come, you might get anxious on the day and cancel at the last minute. I feel there’s a very high possibility of that happening.
In particular, canceling at the last minute on the day of a date is grounds for being forcibly removed from the service.
I think you should apply once you feel confident enough not to get overwhelmed by anxiety.
Besides, failing an interview often just means the staff happened to misjudge you.
There was even a time in the past when women who looked like they belonged in the Platinum or Gold class were repeatedly rejected by a particular strict staff member. Sometimes the reason was that they had been late. Even when they had contacted the club to say they would be late, this person would apparently say, “I’m going to reject her before she even gets here,” and then actually reject them after the interview. It was shocking.
At the time, the other staff and I would often say things like, “She was just unlucky. If we had conducted her interview, she would have passed.”
Not just once or twice—many times. It was awful.
That said, since women are generally expected to wear skirts, I assumed most women owned one, while those who didn’t want to be constrained by ideas like “women should…” simply never owned skirts and always wore pants.
So why don’t you own any skirts?
I imagine people who tend to feel anxious sometimes keep a skirt on hand just to ease that anxiety, though...
